KNOW ME BETTER 

I am Martin Bello Urbez, a product designer who graduated in July 2024 with First Class Honors in BA (Hons) in Product Design from the University of The West of England.

Alongside my academic career, I have one and a half years of professional experience in two companies as a product designer. I also participate in design competitions and collaborate on projects with small consultancies, in addition to working as a freelance designer. Some of my work has been recognized with the "Design Impact Award" at London, New Designers 2024, and with the 2025 "Green Concept Award Finalist"

As a product designer I think we have a responsibility to look wider into the impact that design has, and become an active part to make a difference. My work reflects this commitment, focusing on creating positive impact in areas such as ecology, health, and humanitarian challenges. I aim to take a holistic design approach, drawing inspiration from initiatives like The United Nations  Sustainable Development Goals.

What motivates me most in design is the pursuit of balance between three fundamental pillars: sustainability, user experience (UX/UI), and aesthetics. I firmly believe that once a design fulfills its function, it should not only be visually appealing but also intuitive and accessible for the end user. Additionally, I am passionate about exploring how materials and processes can be as environmentally friendly as possible without compromising the beauty and functionality of the product.
